Physiotherapy for Norwich and the Surrounding Area

Joint Initiative Physiotherapy has one clinic, in Norwich city centre. Patients come in from across the city and its suburbs, so this page covers how to reach us from where you live.

Getting to Rose Lane from around Norwich

Norwich city centre

The clinic is in The Union Building on Rose Lane, between the Cathedral Quarter and Riverside. If you work in the city centre, an appointment before work, at lunch or on a late Tuesday or Thursday is usually the easiest fit.

Thorpe St Andrew, Thorpe Hamlet and Trowse

Coming in from the east, Yarmouth Road and Thorpe Road lead towards the railway station, and Rose Lane is just across the river from there. Trowse and Bracondale approach from the south-east past County Hall.

Sprowston, Old Catton and Catton

From the north of the city, Sprowston Road and Magdalen Road run down towards the centre. Patients from this side often combine an appointment with a trip into the city.

Hellesdon, Drayton and Taverham

From the north-west, Drayton Road and Aylsham Road feed into the inner ring road. The clinic has parking on site, which helps if you are driving in with a sore back or knee.

Costessey, Bowthorpe and Earlham

From the west, Dereham Road and Earlham Road both run straight into the city. Students and staff from the university side of Norwich come in the same way.

Eaton, Cringleford, Hethersett and Lakenham

From the south-west, Newmarket Road is the direct route in. Lakenham and Tuckswood are a short trip up Hall Road or City Road.

Poringland and villages south of Norwich

The B1332 through Poringland and Framingham Earl comes into the city past Trowse and Bracondale, on the same side of the centre as Rose Lane.

By train from further out

Norwich railway station is close to Rose Lane, so patients travelling in from Wymondham, Brundall or Hoveton and Wroxham can reach the clinic without needing a car in the city.

Why one city-centre clinic

Every appointment is at the same city-centre clinic, so your assessment, treatment and rehab plan all happen in one place, and the equipment you use in one session is there for the next.
